HOW TO GET TO NELSON WERE DESIGNS

We are blessed and privileged to operate our family business within the stunning grounds of the world famous Quex Park Estate. It is a beautiful location hosting many attractions activities and small businesses.

Quex Park is on the southern boundary of Birchington, a coastal village west of Margate in Kent about 75 miles from London, 12 miles from the historic city of Canterbury and 4 miles from the ferry port of Ramsgate.

FREE parking for cars and coaches. Disabled parking is located close to the Museum entrance, in Quex Barn car park and Jungle Jims car park.

    BY ROAD

From London take the M2, or from Canterbury the A28, and follow the signs for Margate. As you enter Birchington, the Powell-Cotton Museum is clearly signposted alongside All Saints Church (which is on your left). Turn right into Park Lane following directions to Acol. The entrance to Quex Park and the Museum is half a mile on the left.

    To visit our shop:

After turning into Quex Park turn immediately right into the Quex barn car park. Our  leathercraft shop is a quirky converted minibus situated in the carpark to the right of the Quex barn entrance. Open Tuesday to Saturday 10am-3pm. There is free parking in Quex Barn car park

    To visit the Studio workshop:

After turning into Quex Park follow the road ahead. The road veers to the left upon which you will see signs directing you to the craft village. The craft village is sited between The Secret Garden Nursery and Jungle Jims. Nelson Were Designs studio workshop is the first unit on the left hand side of the craft village. Please use the Jungle Jims free car park when visiting the studio.
